About me
Jimmy Martínez-Correa is an Associate Professor in Applied Economics at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS). His research focuses on decision-making under risk and uncertainty. His research has been published in top academic journals including Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Money Credit and Banking and the Journal of Economics Behavior & Organization. He has won several research grants including the Sapere Aude Young Research Talent from the Danish Government.
He earned his PhD in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University in 2012. graduated with a B.A and a M.A in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) in 2003 and 2005, respectively. He is a fellow at i) the Center for Economic Analysis of Risk (CEAR) at Georgia State University, ii) at the Pension Research Center (PeRCent) at the Copenhagen Business School and iii) the Danish Finance Institute.
Prior to his PhD studies, he worked for the Central Bank of Colombia in the Department of Financial Stability as Financial Economist and as the Chief Economist of the Trade Association of Colombian Insurers (FASECOLDA).
